1 John 3:8-10

⁸ the one who practices sin is ^(A)of the devil; for the devil ^[a]has sinned from the beginning. ^(B)The Son of God ^(C)appeared for this purpose, ^(D)to destroy the works of the devil. ⁹ No one who is ^[b](E)born of God ^(F)practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is ^[c]born of God. ¹⁰ By this the ^(G)children of God and the ^(H)children of the devil are obvious: ^[d]anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor the one who ^(I)does not love his ^(J)brother.
